Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi N’Tichka – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley Gorges
At 08:00, depart from Marrakech towards the Dades Valley, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, enjoy several stops to take in the breathtaking landscapes and visit traditional Berber villages nestled in the mountains.
The journey continues to the legendary Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable fortified village, once a key stronghold along the ancient Salt Road that linked Sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech, has also served as the backdrop for more than 20 international films.
After exploring Ait Benhaddou, travel through Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Hollywood of Africa” due to its popularity as a filming destination. The route then passes through the beautiful Berber towns of Skoura and Kelaat M’Gouna before reaching the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night.
Day 2:Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga (Night in Desert).
After breakfast, depart from the Dades Gorges towards Merzouga, gateway to the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes—the largest sand dunes in the Moroccan Sahara. Along the way, pass through traditional Berber towns such as Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, marking the beginning of Tafilalet’s lush Saharan oasis.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, take some time to relax before meeting your camels for an unforgettable trek across the golden dunes. As the sun sets, the desert transforms into a breathtaking palette of colors—an ideal moment for capturing stunning photographs.
At the desert camp, enjoy a delicious traditional dinner, followed by lively drumming and singing around the fire. Spend the night in a luxurious desert tent under the dazzling stars of the Sahara.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi Desert – Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Medalt – Ifrane – Fes.
After an early morning camel ride back to Merzouga, enjoy time to shower and have breakfast before starting the journey to Fes. On the way, pause for a traditional cup of tea with a nomadic family, offering a glimpse into their unique way of life.
Continue through the High Atlas Mountains, with a stop in the charming alpine town of Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, the drive continues towards Fes, where your unforgettable Sahara adventure comes to an end.
