3 Days Merzouga Tour

Your driver-guide will pick you up from your riad at 8:15 AM to begin your journey from Marrakech to the Dades Valley, where you will spend the first night. The route takes you across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with scenic stops to admire the breathtaking views and capture memorable photos.

In the afternoon, you will stop in a small village to visit a women’s cooperative producing Moroccan argan oil before continuing to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic fortified village has been the backdrop for many famous films, including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Alexander. Lunch will be served here before the journey continues through captivating landscapes.

On the way, you will pass through the Berber villages of Skoura and El Kelaa des M’Gouna, known for its annual Festival of Roses, before reaching Boumalne Dades. Overnight stay in a hotel in the Dades Valley with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 2: Dades Gorges \ Tinghir \ Todra Gorges \ Tinjdad \ Erfoud \ Merzouga { Night In Desert }

After breakfast, depart from the Dades Gorges toward the Erg Chebbi Desert in Merzouga, passing through scattered Berber villages along the way. Stop at the Todra Gorges for a short walk and admire the dramatic cliffs of this famous canyon in Tinghir. Continue through the towns of Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, marking the beginning of the pre-Saharan oasis region of Tafilalet.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will have time to freshen up at a hotel before meeting your camels. Your luggage will be transported to the desert camp, but we recommend bringing a small bag with water, your camera, and personal items. Ride your camel across the magnificent Erg Chebbi sand dunes, perfect for capturing stunning photographs as the sun sets over the desert.

At the camp, leave your camels and head to the highest dunes for sandboarding and to enjoy the sunset. Spend the night in a traditional Berber nomad tent, savoring a delicious dinner and enjoying live drumming and singing. As darkness falls, look up at the vast desert sky and be mesmerized by the countless stars overhead.

Day 3: Merzouga To Marrakech Via Alnif \ Tazzarin \ Nkob \ Ouarzazate.

Before sunrise, wake up early to climb the sand dunes for spectacular photo opportunities. After breakfast, return to the village of Merzouga by camel or vehicle. The journey then continues back to Marrakech, passing through Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkob, the scenic Draa Valley, and Ouarzazate, before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again. Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the afternoon, marking the end of this unforgettable journey.
